Adorable ducklings even if the frog didn’t think so. The roots in the background are rather evil-looking.
The setting is very dark – it doesn’t look to be a good place for the little ones to wonder around, but you have to learn about the big bad world somehow!

It is very different style to your usual drawings. I like it, too!
What a dark piece of writing. The books title is a little unsettling too! Is the whole thing ass macabre/biaarre as this?
