Once upon a time there was an old King who had only one daughter. He was very anxious that his daughter should marry, but while she was more beautiful than words can tell, she was so proud and rude that no man who came to woo her was good enough for her. She sent away one after another and even made fun of them to their faces.

They are always proud and rude. The poor princes look quite taken aback. I like this illustration.
This princess is a piece of work! Rude work! Glad you like the illustration.

Well, how could she not be rude at the suitors’ attire!
The clothes do not help! They are sort of foppish! But it is fairy tale clothing and must be judged by fairy tale fashion standards.

Maybe she doesn’t like men at all…
You have a good point, but I don’t think she would be very nice to women either – she is a mean princess. She honestly thinks she is too good for everyone! Maybe she is!
