Every time I see a seesaw constructed like this one, I remember 2 things: first, the ones we had in the playground in elementary school and how it felt when you hit the ground because the other person pushed off so hard; and that I wanted to make a seesaw at home like this kind of thing, and try it, because I saw it so often in books! Love this illustration!
See! 1904-1905 was great! Elephants really knew how to have fun back then in those darling elephant pants. Let’s hope there aren’t any cruel trainers stage left!
You have a very good point – it did look like a fun time for elephants. But I’m not sure what point in time I would pick – my post dates aside! I am still thinking about it.
