What a bunch of snotty pigs!
I think the first one is a sheriff and the other two are prisoners! The law enforcement pig does look snotty!
When I first saw the illustration, I thought I was looking at three mice! Even now that I know they’re supposed to be piggies, they still look at lot like mice…
I agree they do look mice or ratlike! You are on the lookout for all things PIG.
A wave of the trotter to you!
I adore this illustration but it really does look like three blind mice.
I don’t think the illustration goes with the rhyme too well either. They did reuse illustrations – sometimes in a surprising way!
cute illustrations 🙂
Boy that Pig-in-Charge has nice clothes, and the other two are merely in kerchiefs and cheap hats. I love that the one in back has it’s top hat with its lid flapping. As if he was a gentleman pig who had lost his shirt and fallen in with bad company. I can see his parents coming to bail him out and being even snobbier than their jailor. He’s the most mouse-like of the three.
Hello Mr Elephant, do you have an email address?
Sorry I didn’t reply – I just found this comment. I am searching back to find an old reply and found your question (WP hides things sometimes). Are you sending me a valentine?
If only I knew who you were. But yes, sometime. Coffee date? There should be more love in the world, cliche but true. Mwah mwah.
A portly, important pig and two scoundrels; is important pig holding the end of his own tail?
It is hard to tell. It might be his rope for his prisoners?
What drug are you all on? I want some of the same pls!!
