He is very repulsive. I can’t remember who he is – I thought he might be a monkey? He is a bit out of register and it gives him a very freakish look. Sleep easy he is long dead and likely in monkey/repulsive little man Heaven.
It is a very weird story. Tiny goes on an adventure and ends up in Egypt at one point. She meets and talks to animals and learns all about the evils of vanity.

Not only is the guy creepy (agree totally Middlemay) but why are there pyramids? It looks a bit like an opium induced dream state.
