The Mayday Dance.
The Fairies dance with song and shout,
And some trip in and some trip out
Around a Dandelion tall
Whene’er they hold their Mayday ball.
Swinging, swinging, see them bend,
Hear their voices sweetly blend
With the silvery fairy strains
While they weave their Daisy chains.

Fabulous! Thanks for sharing! What a collection you must have. Did you enhance the colors?
The colors on these images from “A Year With the Fairies” don’t come out very well in digital form (over the internet or otherwise). If I fool with them too much they just look very garish (I think), yet the book is really lovely! It is very frustrating that I can’t just freshen the pictures up (take out the discoloration, spots, etc. left by time and use) without them looking “too bright” – I struggle, but I’m not as happy with them as I would like to be!

I think they are lovely!
Thank you!

I love the way they’re all wearing pop socks.
I have gotten a couple of comments on the girl’s socks and feet from this book – wise illustrator you may want to take note!
