Jimmie decides he does not like being a lady!
“Just the thing!” he cried. “I’ll dress up and make believe to be a lady going calling.”
So he dressed up in his sister’s clothes and went for a walk as far as the meadow, where he plucked a handful of daisies.
“I don’t like being a lady,” said Jimmie, “for I can’t make any noise.”
So he ran back to the house and threw off his fine clothes.
“I’ll play soldier,” he said, “and beat my drum, and make lots of noise.

Jimmy Piggy has some interesting ideas… 🙂
Yes he does! He is always looking for fun – drag just didn’t do it for him – but he was curious, dressed up and gathered flowers! Just the noise issue – can’t make noise when you wear your sisters cloths!

Hm, it’s always interesting to note what is ‘allowed’ and what is ‘forbidden’ by the rules of fairytale world…
During the course of the story he beats a drum and marches up and down, pretends he is in the Navy firing on other ships, and he also marches around with a gun. So predictably he plays boy-pig most of the time. I did like this departure for Jimmie – maybe if he beat his drum or carried his rifle dressed in his sisters clothes he might have been perfectly happy. He is a charming little pig, but his story is written – It is up to you and your wonderful blog to expand the allowed activities list! I look forward to your posts every day!
